You will be joining a team that values curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. This role is not remote and requires in-person work. You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Front-line manager for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives for three offices.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and create associate work schedules across all offices with accurate timekeeping and labor management.
- Travel between offices as required; prepare tax returns as needed after successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and work with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
- Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training, coaching, and recognizing contributions.
- People management experience with demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading toward a growth culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset; proficiency in MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with relevant experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
