The Estimator is primarily responsible for determining the approximate cost associated with vehicle damages, estimating repair timelines, negotiating insurance payments, and communicating cost estimates to customers.

• Examines all parts of the vehicle that appear damaged and require repair, replacement, or repainting.
• Assesses vehicle damage through inspections.
• Estimates the cost of labor and parts to repair vehicle damage.
• Prepares insurance forms to show repair cost estimate.
• Communicates with customers in a professional manner about vehicle damage and answers questions about costs and insurance.
• Drafts work orders with required repairs and enters them into Collision Right’s system.
• Maintains a record of all repairs in the company file.

• Solid working knowledge of the processes, techniques, and materials used in repairing automotive equipment, with 1–3 years of experience in the collision repair arena.
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle structure to remove and replace damaged components such as doors, windscreens, and fenders.
• Demonstration of safety precautions required in performing this work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally over 70 pounds.
• Agility, equilibrium, and coordination for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing under precarious conditions.
• Strong arm, hand, and finger dexterity with physical capacity to reach, handle, and manipulate components.
• Strong negotiation skills and a commitment to customer service.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment.
