A leading Japanese Factory Automation Company in the Nicholasville, KY area is currently looking for a full‑time English‑Japanese Bilingual Controls Engineer to collaborate with automation professionals to push the boundaries of cutting‑edge technology. - 3 years of PLC programming or control engineering are required, as well as bilingual fluency in English and Japanese.

- Design:
Develop, implement, and document control systems for automated equipment such as robotics, AGVs, vision systems, PLCs, and HMIs. - Problem‑Solving:
Address technical challenges by programming robots, writing PLC code from scratch, and working with various electrical control devices. - Innovation:
Program machines, power them up, and debug to ensure they meet specifications using proven techniques. - Other Responsibilities:
Develop project bill of materials, contribute to scope and specification meetings, and coordinate with the technical build group. Engage in industry‑led technical training for professional growth.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience in controls engineering. - Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of related experience. - Skills:
Versatile knowledge across PLCs, HMIs, robotics, mechatronics, motion control, and vision systems; proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or Solid Works Electrical; strong understanding of industrial control circuits and schematic design. - Language:
Full fluency in Japanese is required.
- Travel opportunities to customer sites up to 10%–20% of the time.
