SUMMARY
The PA/APRN assists the physician in delivering primary medical care; collects historical and physical data on patients; interprets findings to determine appropriate diagnostics and therapeutics; assists in managing treatment plans; provides technical assistance and assurance of patient care; maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors and fellow employees; practices under supervision and guidance of the physician.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Graduate from an accredited physician assistant program and/or graduate nursing school.
- Physician Assistant certification.
- Current Kentucky board licensure and current state board of nursing licensure.
- Advanced Practitioner RN registration.
- Exam eligible or certified nurse practitioner at national level.
- Ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps up to eight hours per day.
- Lift, move and transport patients, equipment, supplies.
- Motor coordination and manual dexterity.
- Effective communication, ability to read/understand orders, visual acuity.
