Electrician

This position is responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems based on technical blueprints. Candidates should have an electrician degree from a technical college and experience working on electrical systems, both simple and complex.

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Performing electrical maintenance and inspecting electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues with testing devices.
• Repairing and replacing electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures.
• Following electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Overseeing quality of work by others and managing service contracts.
• Conducting facilities inspections and reviewing work by vendors and contractors.
• Recommending modifications for maintenance and facility design.
• Ensuring safety procedures are followed and safety data sheets are maintained.
• Managing resources and overseeing building and grounds maintenance.
• Ensuring security and emergency procedures are implemented.
• Preparing training on safety and emergency procedures.
• Inspecting the facility for safety, health, and environmental risks.

• Experience with modeling, analysis, and simulation tools.
• Understanding of business goals, demand and supply planning, and financial planning.
• Experience in process definition, implementation, and change management.
• Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of current technology tools and data analysis.

• Mathematical and statistical skills.

• Electrician degree from a technical college and completion of an apprenticeship.
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair.

• Ability to sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and occasionally stand, walk, kneel, or crouch.
• Frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close, peripheral, depth, color, and focus adjustment.
• Occasional work near moving mechanical parts and in moderate noise environments.
