The Kubota Technology Innovation Europe (KTI-EU) department focuses on technology development for digital solutions and systems in agriculture, bridging the gap between market research and product development. The department serves the European market and collaborates with the global organization and other regional offices such as KTI-NA (Dallas, USA) to coordinate global initiatives.
Location:
Nieuw-Vennep, The Netherlands (Hybrid).
The role involves overseeing the right processes and functions to translate requirements into prototypes of agricultural autonomous machinery. You will deliver projects within the set objectives from a planning, quality and financial perspective. Your technical expertise and background in product development enable you to support the team and facilitate the development process. You will report to both Department Managers and the Headquarters in Japan.
Responsibilities
Consistently communicate with involved parties and create progress reports.
Make high level contributions to the project.
Manage the software and hardware development process within the project.
Directly manage the project team of engineers, managing projects through a hybrid approach of waterfall and/or agile methodologies.
Record and communicate necessary activities, including preparation, execution, and recording of meetings, presentations, and gatherings concerning assigned projects.
Skills & Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant experience as a team leader or project manager in a technical product development environment, developing agricultural machinery such as tractors or implements, or experience in developing vehicle automation or autonomous systems.
Completed higher education such as a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or technical agricultural direction.
Experience with project management tools and project reporting (Jira is a plus).
Experience working with international and remote teams.
Willingness to travel to support the execution of international projects.
Affinity with control systems, sensors, software or the agricultural sector is a plus.
Good command of spoken and written English is a must.
