What You Will Do
You will take ownership of the full hardware development chain, from concept and design to production, quality, and field support. You will work on solutions used in complex, mission‑critical environments.
Product Development and Quality
Lead the entire hardware lifecycle, from specifications to design, prototype, manufacturing support, and deployment
Ensure compliance with international standards such as CE, UL, and CCC
Develop technical test plans and validation frameworks
Solve practical field challenges and manage ongoing lifecycle requirements
Hardware and IoT Innovation
Select and integrate sensors and electronic components
Design edge computers and IoT devices for demanding environments
Ensure secure and reliable integration with software platforms
Conduct rigorous lab and field testing
Advise on optimal use of IoT building blocks
Technical Leadership
Act as the technical point of contact within the hardware team
Lead design reviews and mentor fellow engineers
Build and maintain a global network of development partners
Report to the Technical Officer on the leadership team
Qualifications
Background
Bachelor or Master in Electronics, Automation, Controls, or a related field
At least five years of experience as an Electronics Engineering Designer in electronics, IoT, telecom, or automation
Proven experience in IoT product development, including controllers, sensors, and connected devices
Dutch language is preferred but not a must
Work 4‑5 days per week on site in Gelderland (no relocation possible)
Technical Skills
Strong electronic simulation and system integration skills
Ability to translate system requirements into technical specifications
Experience collaborating with manufacturers and third‑party suppliers
Knowledge of certification and compliance processes
Professional Qualities
Efficient, result oriented, and strong in ownership
Clear communicator with technical leadership abilities
Skilled in technical documentation
Team oriented and supportive towards colleagues
Strong ability to build partnerships and external relationships
Preferred Experience
SaaS platform exposure
Circuit design, component selection, PCB layout, testing, and debugging
