Overview
You will be part of the BG IC Solutions development team, taking ownership of the ESD requirements and implementations for integrated circuits developed by IC design teams.
Responsibilities- Define and lead the ESD strategy, selecting protection components that meet customer and product requirements.
- Collaborate with the Nexperia Front End team on ESD library components and rule development in CMOS and BCD technologies.
- Develop, prototype, and qualify ESD circuits and components, performing measurements and characterization of ESD and I/O structures.
- Design and layout I/O circuits, integrating ESD protection techniques and components.
- Drive ESD‑related failure analysis and debug activities.
- Conduct electrical spice simulations to verify functionality and compliance with product specifications.
- Perform TLP measurements and provide ESD consultancy to other design teams.
- Work closely with cross‑functional project teams, including design, test, product, quality engineers, and project leadership.
- Master’s degree in semiconductor physics or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and circuit design.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics, characteristics, and behavior.
- Experience with standard CMOS and BCD process technologies.
- Knowledge of ESD mechanisms and state‑of‑the‑art ESD circuit design techniques and topologies.
- Hands‑on experience with EDA tools and ESD test and characterization equipment.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply pragmatic approaches.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Target‑driven mindset combined with cost and technical efficiency focus.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude, and confidence in independent decision‑making.
- Nice to have: skills with T‑CAD for optimizing process technologies and device development.
You will have access to advanced TLP setup for laboratory characterization, world‑leading EDA tools such as Cadence and Ansys, and opportunities to work across multiple product groups (Standard Logic and Switches, Voltage Translators, and I2C controlled GPIO).
