As an INDUSTRIAL PROJECT MANAGER, you lead different kind of Industrial Projects with multi-disciplinary, multi-site and remote teams. You master project manager behaviors like:
Identifying and organizing resources needed to accomplish tasks, consistently achieving project goals, taking responsibility for actions and projects goals, Initiating and generating activities, persuading and influencing, gaining clear agreement and commitment from others. Is experienced with industrial program management; setup, realize and monitor the Industrial segment roadmap with regards to cost & capacity together with the various stakeholders (e.g. Asia sites, Marketing, logistics etc.).
Applies structure also in ‘green field’ situations. Has a broaden business scope and acts on it. Typical Industrial projects / activities:
During a NPI from Project Initiation to Entitlement. Up to the Release gate part of the NPI core team. Leading, driving and owning the industrialization activities and requirement as defined in the Industrial Manufacturing Strategy. These activities typically relate to sourcing (e.g. FE / BE multi sourcing), BE factory flow (assembly & test), FE / BE interaction improvements (e.g. saw lane reduction), and package development.
Furthermore, preparing the volume ramp up ensuring customers stakes and hassle-free ramp up after R-gate, develop a clear VRU-plan with allocated resources to ensure Safe Launch & Entitlement requirements, gate passing criteria and have a clear agreement with the NPI-project manager in case of post R-gate activities. Volume ramp-up, leading the NPI after R-gate to Entitlement, VRU. Typically, this includes ensuring customer deliveries;
safe launch for diffusion, assembly, test, non-production test removal; and test stage reductions, yield improvements and multi-site increase. Multi- sourcing: diffusion and back-end (assembly and test) process fab transfer projects. Industrial improvement / Innovation projects in manufacturing e.g. cost-down, waste reduction, yield improvement, capacity improvement projects. Leading incidents in 8D structure ensuring problem solving and industrial supply. Product package derivative development projects.
Other responsibilities:
Review and manage manufacturing changes (Qualification plans, waivers, 8D’s, risk-assessments, non-conformances). Transfer of product and production know-how to production sites. Provide input to PL Roadmap and Industrial Strategy (processes, packages, capex, locations, etc.). Maintain and extend knowledge on industrial solutions internally (e.g. factory visits, contacts to BL peers, package innovation) and externally (e.g. literature, competitor tracking, conferences). Main expertise >7 years Semiconductor experience.
With a proven track on a technical, for industrial, relevant functional area (e.g. in product engineering, test engineering and or diffusion process integration). >3 years’ experience in leading industrial or comparable projects in semiconductor environment. Including leading multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams remotely. Demonstrable experience in automotive environment and understanding of automotive requirements (e.g. ISO TS 16949, AEC-Q100).
Your Profile:
Master/bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (preferably in Electronics). PMI or equivalent certification in recognized project management methodologies.
Stakeholder Management:
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics & Marketing. Experienced with Business Creation and Management (BCaM) processes. Skilled in problem-solving techniques as 8D, 6-sigma (DMAIC), 3x5 Why. Communication skills:
Excellent command of English (spoken and writing), building relationships, influence and persuade effectively. Team leadership:
Experience leading and motivating multi-site (Europe, Asia, USA), virtual, multi-cultural and cross functional teams (e.g. test-, product-, package engineers, demand manager).
