Overview
As an independently working cook, you are responsible for preparing and plating dishes and components of dishes. You work under the supervision of the head chef or the owner, but you are also able to keep the kitchen running independently.
You monitor taste, quality, and presentation and make adjustments when needed. You also keep stock levels up to date, order ingredients, and check deliveries. Hygiene and safety are high on your priority list, as is maintaining a clean workspace.
You contribute ideas for the menu and work closely with colleagues to deliver great dishes every day.
You will work at an Asian restaurant with a professional yet relaxed working atmosphere. The team is small and committed, with clear agreements and mutual respect. People work hard, but there’s also room for laughter.
New colleagues receive good guidance and the opportunity to develop themselves. You will be employed directly by the restaurant, which provides clarity and stability.

- Ensure hygiene and safety; maintain a clean workspace.
- Contribute ideas for the menu and collaborate with colleagues to deliver great dishes daily.
- Demonstrable experience as a cook (in Asian cuisines) is a plus, but not required;
- MBO level 3 working and thinking level;
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
