Southwestern Medical Clinic, Niles, is seeking a compassionate full‑time Pediatrician to join our dedicated team of providers. Expected volume of 20–40 patients per day once established. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. Epic electronic health records. Point‑of‑Care testing available onsite.

Essential Functions
  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost‑effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they relate to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Evaluates patients’/parents’/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health‑care team to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient / family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development / application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
  • Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

  • LIC‑Osteopathic Physician (DO) –  State of Michigan, Upon Hire required
  • LIC‑Physician (MD) –  State of Michigan, Upon Hire required
  • CRT‑DEA Registration –  State of Michigan, Upon Hire required
  • CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association, 90 Days required
  • CRT‑Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA American Heart Association, 120 Days recommended
