SCHOOL YEAR EMPLOYEE; 7.25 HRS/5 DAYS A WEEK
Description:
Brandywine Community Schools is seeking a building substitute for Merritt Elementary School. A building substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning in the absence of a regular classroom teacher. The building substitute will be responsible for any classroom assignment provided by the principal.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Associate's Degree or 60 hours of college credit
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters
- Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities
- Ability to communicate in both oral and written directions and instructions
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to develop professional working relationships with staff, parents, students, and community members
- Ability to work as a team with others
- Candidate must attend an orientation/training session with our Third Party contact
- Candidate must agree to authorize Brandywine Community Schools to conduct a criminal history search via fingerprinting
