The Community Healing Centers is looking for a therapist in the Niles, Michigan area who is interested in working with our CHC team as a Contractual Outpatient Therapist! Hours will be based on client needs and will include evening group sessions.

Job DescriptionThis contract therapist role will provide outpatient clinical services including psycho-social assessments, treatment planning, and discharge/aftercare planning activities and provision of individual, group, or family sessions to be scheduled based on client needs.
Activities of this Out Patient Therapist include:
- Performing admission, assessment, and discharge functions.
- Preparing evaluation of client treatment needs.
- Preparing client initial and master treatment plans as appropriate, participate in CCM/TPR.
- Conducting individual and/or group and/or family counseling as appropriate.
- Conducting education and training regarding aspects of substance abuse.
- Preparing/submitting reports in accordance with state, agency, referral and CARF program requirements.
- Obtaining/monitoring funding authorizations from the state and insurance companies.
- Ability to recruit, engage and retain clients.
- Maintaining professional relationships with referral sources.
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field required; MSW preferred.
- Current Certified Advanced Addictions and Drug (CAADC) credential a plus.
- Must have licensure with the State of Michigan:
Licensed Masters Social Worker preferred, Licensed Professional Counselor or Psychologist, Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker, Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, or Masters Limited Psychologist considered. - 3 years of professional experience.
- Must be available for evening clinic hours and occasional Saturdays.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to engage in positive therapeutic relationships with clients, staff, and community/agency representatives required.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to operate computer equipment.
- Working knowledge of the system of services needed to address client needs.
