Job Description:

CNC Machinist - Niles, MI

World-class, precision machining and contract manufacturing company specializing in ultra-tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, medical, and other high-tech industries

Shifts Available:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM
  • 3rd Shift: Flexible
  • Hours: Expect 45–50 hours/week
Starting Pay Range:
  • $25–$35/hr.+ (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CNC machining operations on lathes, grinders, or Swiss machines
  • Run set-ups (typically 1 setup per week
    )
  • Make G & M code edits as needed
  • Perform dimensional inspection using micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
  • Read and interpret precision aerospace-level blueprints
  • Maintain extremely tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Work within a clean, climate-controlled, high-performance environment
  • Communicate clearly with leadership; ask questions, engage, and problem-solve
What You DON’T Need to Do
  • No programming
  • No need to get into machine controls beyond edits
  • No complex multi-setup daily changes
Required Experience

Candidates must have:

  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • CNC Lathe
    • Grinding
    • Swiss machining (always considered)
  • Strong inspection and measurement ability
  • Ability to hold extremely tight tolerances
  • Solid blueprint reading skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and high accountability
  • Desire to work in a disciplined, high-standards manufacturing culture
