Job Description:
CNC Machinist - Niles, MI
World-class, precision machining and contract manufacturing company specializing in ultra-tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, medical, and other high-tech industries

Shifts Available:- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- 3rd Shift: Flexible
- Hours: Expect 45–50 hours/week
- $25–$35/hr.+ (based on experience)
- Perform CNC machining operations on lathes, grinders, or Swiss machines
- Run set-ups (typically 1 setup per week
) - Make G & M code edits as needed
- Perform dimensional inspection using micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
- Read and interpret precision aerospace-level blueprints
- Maintain extremely tight tolerances and quality standards
- Work within a clean, climate-controlled, high-performance environment
- Communicate clearly with leadership; ask questions, engage, and problem-solve
- No programming
- No need to get into machine controls beyond edits
- No complex multi-setup daily changes
Candidates must have:
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- CNC Lathe
- Grinding
- Swiss machining (always considered)
- Strong inspection and measurement ability
- Ability to hold extremely tight tolerances
- Solid blueprint reading skills
- Mechanical aptitude and high accountability
- Desire to work in a disciplined, high-standards manufacturing culture
- Aerospace machining
- Precision machining shops
