The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for achieving operational goals and leading the Production Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams in an assembly environment. This role requires effective leadership, strategic planning, and a focus on continuous improvement to meet production goals and ensure high-quality output.

• Oversee daily plant operations, including production and manufacturing engineering.
• Collaborate cross‑departmentally to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the production, manufacturing engineering, and staff in a union environment.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineer team on capital expenditure projects and plant modernization planning.
• Manage the operation’s annual operating budget to ensure cost control and optimization of resources.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to improve safety.
• Promote strong collaboration and teamwork with internal and external business partners.
• Collaborate with senior leadership in the development of performance goals and long‑term operational plans.
• Responsible for creating a team environment between many different departments, fostering open communication, and breaking down barriers to efficiencies.
• Drive formal process improvements to increase productivity/efficiency, reduce manufacturing costs, inventory levels, etc.
• Ensure production meets customer schedules, while maintaining the highest quality standards and plant operating efficiency with optimized resource utilization.
• Lead the development of operating systems and programs to support key business objectives including health & safety, increased production output, continuous improvement, scrap reduction, quality initiatives, and employee engagement and retention.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 5‑7 years’ experience in manufacturing management role, metal welding environment preferred.
• 3‑5 years’ experience managing operations with multiple processes (Production, Engineering, etc.).
• Ability to problem solve in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated servant leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Proven understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate openly and directly with all levels of the organization.
• Custom and repeatable production metal working experience in a welding environment preferred.
