AC&S is seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative for a minimum 4-month assignment.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm with a paid lunch. Pay Rate: $20 – $25 per hour, based upon experience.
The Customer Service Specialist (CSS) serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring seamless order processing, communication, and coordination between internal departments. This role requires strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics and production scheduling in the chemical manufacturing and distribution industry.
EssentialJob Duties
- Communicate regularly with customers regarding order receipts, production schedules, inventory levels, and deliveries.
- Provide timely updates on order status, backorders, and any changes affecting shipments.
- Assist customers with inquiries related to products, lead times, and order modifications.
- Address and resolve customer concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Perform data entry for customer records, orders, inventory tracking, and production schedules.
- Archive files and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with other administrative duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.
- Work with the Production Coordinator to schedule production efficiently and align with order demands.
- Maintain and track customer inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and replenishment as needed.
- Prepare and process shipping paperwork in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Coordinate logistics with carriers and internal teams to meet delivery deadlines and resolve shipping issues.
This role requires prolonged periods of sitting or standing, use of a computer and phone, and clear communication. The work environment is typical of an office setting. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- Higher School diploma or GED required.
- Some college preferred.
- SAP system experience required.
