Product Support Representative

The Product Support Representative promotes and sells parts and services offered, while realizing profitable sales and maintaining good customer relations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
• Good understanding of machine applications and systems required
• Excellent communication and presentations skills needed
• Ability to operate a P.C. (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Applicant must be willing to relocate into the PSSR territory

• Travel to customer locations as required, in various environmental conditions, to conduct sales calls, meetings, and perform equipment inspections
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and merchandising programs offered by the company and Caterpillar
• Achieve parts and service sales objectives in assigned territory
• Assist the Parts and Service Departments in preparing estimates, settling controversies, investigating customer product problems, and investigating past due accounts as requested
• Develop potential customer base in assigned territory and assist new customers in opening accounts
• Monitor and report all pertinent parts and service marketing information relative to competitive activity, customer information, and product performance
• Perform inspections as required
• Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
