Elementary Classroom Teacher - Grades K-6

• Plan, instruct, and assess the district curriculum. Accountable for organization and maintaining classroom management to ensure maximum student engagement and learning.
• Implement Readers' Workshop, Writers' Workshop, and Math Workshop, including the willingness to implement small, flexible groups.
• Build positive relationships with all stakeholders; work as a team player with a strong understanding of the Missouri Learning Standards and technology integration.
• Apply research-based instructional strategies and participate in district and building professional development opportunities.
• Participate in grade-level and building meetings and collaborate effectively within a highly collaborative team.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and interpersonal relations; understand and implement Missouri Learning Standards into the curriculum.

• Current Missouri Certification in Elementary Education B-3 or 1-6.
• Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities (PLC) or willingness to learn Response to Intervention.
• Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn research-based instructional strategies and integrate technology into the classroom.
• Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn Missouri Learning Standards and formal and informal assessment strategies.
• Willingness to collaborate with peers.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test satisfactory to the Board of Education.
• Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
