Early Learners​/Preschool Teacher

The Early Learners / Preschool Teacher supports the spiritual, social, emotional, and early academic development of children ages 2 to 3 using ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum. This role serves as both an educational and ministerial extension of LCA's mission to families.

Universal Requirements

• Christian Faith Active personal Christian faith and full agreement with the school's Statement of Faith.
• Background Check Must pass a criminal background check and child abuse/neglect screening before employment.
• CPR / First Aid Current certification required, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Mission Alignment Full agreement with the school's mission, vision, core values, and statement of faith.
• Character and Conduct Lifestyle consistent with biblical standards and Christian role model expectations.
• Church Involvement Active membership or regular attendance at a Bible-believing Christian church.
• Professional Development Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, including ACSI accreditation-related training.

Position-Specific Requirements

Requirement Details Status

• Education Minimum associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Associate minimum CDA Credential Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent early childhood coursework may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Alternative Experience Minimum 2 years working with children ages 2 to 3 in a licensed childcare, preschool, or church nursery setting.
• Required Curriculum Willingness to deliver ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum with fidelity and enthusiasm.
• Required Certification Pathway Willingness to pursue ACSI teacher certification as applicable to early childhood roles.
• Preferred Child Development Working knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice for toddlers and young preschoolers.

• This position carries both instructional and ministry responsibilities with young children and families.
