Mason (Nizwa)

A mason is responsible for constructing and repairing various structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. They must have a good understanding of building plans and blueprints in order to accurately lay out the structure. Additionally, they must have knowledge of different types of building materials and their uses.

• Constructing structures according to building plans and blueprints
• Laying out foundation lines using plumb bobs, levels, and measuring tapes
• Cutting or breaking bricks, concrete blocks or other materials to size
• Mixing mortar or grout for use in construction
• Placing and securing bricks or blocks together with mortar or other adhesives
• Repairing cracks or damages on existing structures
• Applying finishes such as stucco or cement plaster on walls
• Cleaning work area after completion of project

• Proven experience as a mason
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and blueprints
• Knowledge of different types of building materials and their uses
• Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
