Librarian

Contract Librarian in Nizwa, Oman

We are in search of a qualified and enthusiastic Contract Librarian to join our team in Nizwa, Oman. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's resources, assisting patrons with research and reference needs, and promoting library services to the community. This is a contract position without accommodation, but we do offer visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

• Manage the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of library materials
• Develop and maintain an organized system for shelving and retrieving books and other materials
• Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on using library resources
• Promote library services through outreach programs and events
• Collaborate with other librarians to develop and implement new programs or services
• Keep up-to-date with current trends in information science and technology

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Proven experience working as a librarian or in a similar role
• Familiarity with library systems and databases
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this contract position.
