We are seeking a talented Indian Chef to join our team at a popular restaurant in Nizwa. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and authentic Indian dishes that will delight our customers' taste buds. Your primary role will be to oversee the kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and supervising other kitchen staff. You must have excellent knowledge and experience in Indian cuisine, as well as strong leadership skills to ensure smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Create and prepare traditional Indian dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure high-quality presentation of all food items
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and development of new dishes
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, or other important matters
- Proven experience as an Indian Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to create authentic dishes while also being open to incorporating new ideas
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
We are offering a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this position.
