Senior Accountant

Executive Search Consultant at LHH - Indy, Louisville & Cincinnati

LHH is partnering with our Noblesville manufacturing client in their search for a qualified Senior Accountant to add to their growing team.

Reporting to the Controller, this position plays a critical role in overseeing the daily accounting operations and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This position offers tremendous career growth opportunity and competitive compensation/benefits/PTO.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of entries
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Review and post the daily AR cash receipts batch entries
• Review and post the daily AP and PO invoices batch entries
• Coordinate and assist with external financial statement audits
• Identify process and system improvements to enhance efficiency
• Become the technical partner with external system consultants
• Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors
• Prepare monthly financial statements in an accurate and timely manner
• Participate in month-end reporting discussions and support site leadership with financial inquiries or ad-hoc requests
• Prepare and ensure the monthly close schedule is maintained and adhered to.
• Complete month-end bank reconciliation
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; public accounting preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
