Position SummarySign‑on bonus of $1,500 for first‑time hires. This role is a starting opportunity to learn foundational automotive skills. You’ll perform routine vehicle inspections, conduct basic maintenance, assist in repairs, and interact with customers to explain procedures. The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay Range: $16.63 – $24.99 per hour. Compensation is flat‑rate, rewarding each eligible task at a predetermined amount.
Responsibilities- Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
- Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
- Install batteries and check electrical systems.
- Perform tire maintenance.
- Install parts.
- Road‑test vehicles.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years; company pays exam fees and provides a bonus for each test passed.
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times.
- Basic knowledge of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services, including oil changes, basic inspections, and tire repair.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- 2 years of automotive repair experience or completion of a Vocational‑Technical School program related to automotive.
- A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications.
