Job Summary
Trane Technologies is hiring a Reliability Engineer who will be responsible for warranty performance/cost, reliability metrics and improvement, predictive analytics, and management of the external quality of all Helmer branded products. This position partners with Engineering on current and next‑gen product development to ensure designs meet customer and component reliability targets.
Responsibilities- Promote Helmer values demonstrated through personal productivity, quality of work, and continuous improvement practices.
- Comply with workplace safety procedures.
- Lead cross‑functional teams (Quality, Operations, Engineering, Commercial) to develop and improve quality/reliability targets and warranty trends.
- Develop and advance reliability field predictions, working with NPD teams on linking external trending to NPD improvements.
- Support reliability testing design and analysis as part of the NPD engineering team.
- Drive priority and lead resolution of warranty claims with Helmer teams.
- Collect real‑time failure data and identify products for analysis.
- Lead problem‑solving activities on common defects and customer returned product.
- Complete CRM case information in compliance with FDA regulation.
- Identify predictive techniques to quantify growing reliability trends.
- Execute complex failure analysis on field return parts and drive effective RCCA with Helmer teams and global suppliers.
- Lead or partner on all external CAPAs.
- Develop external quality reporting cadence and reports.
- Facilitate quarterly CERT meetings with Helmer Leadership.
- 7+ years working within a Quality or engineering department required OR 5+ years’ experience with a BS/BA degree.
- Working knowledge of mechanical/electrical design, PCBA design, software, manufacturing, and component and system testing.
- ISO or similar Quality System experience (ISO‑13485, FDA) preferred.
- Proficient in quality management system database software, strong problem‑solving ability, interpretation of technical drawings, and non‑conformance management.
- Working knowledge of statistical tools/models and statistical software preferred.
- BS/BA degree or 2‑year tech degree preferred.
- ASQ or Six Sigma certifications preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; MS Teams and Power BI experience preferred.

Base Pay Range: $63,500 - $100,000
Additional compensation may include commission/incentive plans.
