Cafeteria Attendant – Monday to Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Server / Physicians Lounge)

This role at Riverview Health provides exemplary cafeteria service to patrons, supports customers with payroll deductions, department charges, and credit card processing, and offers support for retail operations.

• Serve customers in the retail area in a friendly and professional manner, providing an excellent customer experience.
• Utilize effective communication skills to build rapport with teammates.
• Support retail operations and apply proper food handling techniques in all retail/kitchen areas.
• Assist with keeping the beverage room clean and organized; stock the Doctors Lounge using a par level list.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room tables, floors, microwaves, and condiments.
• Take direction from leads and management to perform required duties with little direction and ensure departmental goals are met.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to other staff members.
• Adhere to all department rules as outlined in the employee handbook, including attendance, uniform usage, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Participate in the Employee Development Process through self‑evaluations, meetings, annual reviews, and mandatory education requirements.
• Effectively multitask and perform several functions over the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum:
  High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in high school courses.
• Preferred:
  High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum: 6 months or more experience with customer service, cash handling, and food‑service support.
• Preferred:
  One year or more of food service or restaurant experience, customer service, & cash handling.
