STEM Middle School/High School Teacher (On-Site Classroom Instructor)

On‑site – Pinnacle Charter Schools – Nogales Campus, Nogales, Arizona

Salary: $38,600.00 – $41,600.00 per year

The role is non‑remote with a primary focus on supporting students at the Pinnacle Charter School Nogales Campus. Candidates will provide one‑on‑one tutoring, manage high‑impact classroom environments, and implement individualized learning plans to ensure students stay on pace toward graduation. In addition to site‑based duties, the teacher will support a small cohort of online learners and assist with community outreach initiatives to boost enrollment and strengthen school‑community connections.

• Provide daily on‑site 1‑on‑1 tutoring to support student learning and academic growth.
• Manage a safe, engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Motivate students to maintain course pacing and achieve academic progress toward graduation.
• Track student performance and intervene when students fall behind academically or behaviorally.
• Support classroom culture through active monitoring, mentorship, and relationship building.
• Contribute to outreach initiatives designed to increase enrollment and strengthen community awareness.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, interventions, and student outcomes.
• Support a small roster of online students, providing instruction, progress monitoring, and feedback.
• Communicate regularly with students and families to encourage engagement and accountability.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings at the district office.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the school.

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
• Arizona Teaching Certificate OR at least 25 credit hours in your subject area.
• Classroom teaching experience, preferably with at‑risk, alternative, or non‑traditional student populations.
• Strong classroom management skills that balance structure and empathy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and learning management systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
• Strong organization, time management, and self‑direction.
• A mission‑driven mindset with empathy for students facing personal or academic challenges.
