This program aims to empower low-resource communities in Arizona by addressing poverty-related challenges through community-driven solutions focused on increasing financial capability and well-being. It leverages the capacity of Cooperative Extension to reach these communities by developing a volunteer recruitment, training, and management program centered on Financial Literacy Education and FAFSA Awareness.
The Member will:
Member Duties:
- Establish protocols for volunteer screening and develop recruitment strategies.
- Create marketing materials and training curricula.
- Design and implement data collection systems.
- Research and develop workshops for volunteer development.
- Promote volunteering at community events and build partnerships.
- Deliver financial literacy lessons and organize program materials.
- Collect and report evaluation data.
- Travel to program sites as needed.
Program Benefits: Stipend, Training, Education award upon completion.
Terms: Permits attendance at school during off hours, permits working another job, car recommended.
