RN Emergency Per Diem Rotating
Position Summary:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Assessment: uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.

Problem Identification - The nurse s clinical judgment about the patient s response to actual or potential health conditions or needs.
Planning and Outcomes – Based on the assessment and problem identification, the nurse sets measurable short- and long-range goals in collaboration with the patient and family. Assessment data, problem identification, and goals are documented in the patient s care plan for access by all involved health professionals.
Implementation – Nursing care is implemented according to the care plan to ensure continuity of care during hospitalization and discharge preparation. Care is documented in the patient s record.

Evaluation – Continuous evaluation of the patient s status and the effectiveness of the nursing care, with modification of the care plan as needed.

Qualifications
Education,
Licensure/Certification , and

License
Required:
Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to obtain Arizona license within 30 days.
Certification
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Certification Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
Education
Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
