Market Quality Assurance Engineer

Schedule:

8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday to Friday)

We’re seeking a Market Quality Assurance Engineer who can manage complexity, optimize processes, and ensure excellence across our operations. If you’re bilingual (English & Spanish), reliable, and driven by quality and results, this is your opportunity to grow with the leader in fresh produce!

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, review, and manage quality assurance and safety as essential government regulations such as SQF, PACA, USDA, FDA.
  • Verify and analyze the quality process through sampling, evaluation and statistical analysis to ensure full compliance with all quality and safety requirements of the product in accordance with the bulletins and specifications described. Make decisions about the acceptance, rejection or rework of the products evaluated in the NS distribution centers and communicate to the departments and personnel involved.
  • Creation of strategies to improve the inspection process or any that is required of the quality assurance and safety operation in the distribution centers.
  • Ensure that the procedures are appropriate for the market quality assurance operation.
  • Process and manage data for the measurement and evaluation of the performance of the department.
  • Monitoring and analysis of indicators of the market quality assurance department.
  • Monitoring of rejections, management of collections for rework to the production plants.
Qualifications
  • 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety.
  • Education:

    Bachelor's in Agriculture, Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or Business and Administration (graduated or in the process of graduating).
  • Spanish Preferred (Professional or Native/Fluent level).
