About the Role
NDTV Convergence is looking for a highly strategic and data-driven Editor for SEO & Audience Growth to lead our organic growth initiatives for the NDTV Shopping website.
Standing at the intersection of editorial leadership and SEO strategy, you will bridge the gap between high-quality storytelling and technical optimisation. You will oversee the entire content lifecycle—from ideation to distribution—ensuring our shopping and lifestyle content scales across search engines and LLM-based search results.
Key Responsibilities
SEO-Led Editorial Strategy: Develop comprehensive content plans in collaboration with the HOD, outlining formats and setting goals to drive organic rankings, brand visibility, and engagement.
Keyword & Content Planning: Anticipate story trends, conduct keyword research, and perform competitor gap analysis to identify new growth opportunities.
Content Editing & Management: Edit and optimise content for search intent and readability, ensuring all output meets NDTV’s high editorial standards and best practices.
Content Optimisation: Update and optimise legacy content alongside current stories to improve long-term performance and rankings.
Team Leadership: Manage the daily operations of in-house writers, sub-editors, freelance contributors, and content agencies.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Product, SEO, and Social Media teams to ensure seamless content placement and distribution across all NDTV platforms.
Who You Are
Experienced: You have 10–12 years of relevant experience with reputable lifestyle, shopping, e-commerce, or tech websites.
Strategic: You have a proven track record of scaling digital audiences through SEO, content optimisation, and audience development tactics.
Knowledgeable: You have a deep understanding of search algorithms and the emerging landscape of LLM search results.
Leader: You are an expert at managing diverse teams and content pipelines in a fast-paced digital environment.
