The Dean/Director – (Four Year UG programs) will provide academic, administrative, and strategic leadership for multidisciplinary undergraduate programs in Psychology, Business, Sciences, Liberal Studies, Media and Journalism, in alignment with NEP 2020, UGC Regulations, and the University’s vision for holistic and interdisciplinary education. This role will ensure academic excellence, quality assurance, student success, innovation in teaching-learning, and effective implementation of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP).
Key Responsibilities
Academic Excellence
Lead the Four-Year Undergraduate Programs in alignment with UGC, NEP 2020.
Ensure academic excellence, interdisciplinary learning, and student success by exploring cutting edge learning and teaching methodologies.
Explore collaborative learning platforms and novel assessment methods to prepare students for impact driven careers.
Manage the curriculum of the program, conduct regular reviews of the program with recruiters, industry partners and other relevant stakeholders.
Continuously benchmark the program with national and international peers.
Faculty Development
Work with the Deans of the respective schools to drive collaborations across schools in course design, delivery and assessment.
Work with the Deans to ensure faculty are trained to deliver all nuanced aspects of the program effectively.
Encourage use of AI and technology in teaching, assessments and pedagogy.
Program Operations and Student Experience
Lead a team of Associate Deans and Course coordinators to deliver an operationally efficient program (timely delivery of classes and publication of results, high quality teaching, regular feedback to students.
Ensure students are provided a holistic learning experience, academically and via extra-curricular activities.
Ensure student centricity in every activity.
Work with the admissions and outreach team to lead the outreach, admissions campaign of the program. Ensure all marketing compaign materials are proactively prepared.
Work with the placement team to ensure internships and placements are provided to all students.
Explore international partnerships for pathways and progression options for students.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure the program remains in compliance with UGC, accreditation, and quality standards.
Lead academic audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain all program level documentation and compliance with University ERP and LMS standards.
Qualifications & Experience
PhD or equivalent qualification from a premium/reputed university or institution is mandatory.
Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration out of which at least 5 years of experience in academic leadership/administrative roles at University level.
Strong record of research publications in peer-reviewed/reputed journals, academic contributions, and understanding of regulatory and accreditation frameworks.
