Role Description The Senior Academic Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for guiding students and working professionals through academic and career decisions. The role involves conducting detailed counselling sessions, understanding individual aspirations, and recommending suitable UG, PG, online, and distance programs aligned with career objectives. The Senior Academic Counsellor will support end-to-end admission processes, including documentation, application follow-up, and onboarding, while maintaining accurate records of interactions and outcomes.
Daily responsibilities include coordinating with universities and internal teams, delivering clear and unbiased course information, and ensuring a high standard of student experience. The role also includes mentoring junior counsellors, contributing to counselling frameworks, and participating in outreach activities to increase awareness of Grad Route’s services.
Qualifications
Strong student counselling and academic advising skills, with the ability to understand diverse educational backgrounds and goals.
Expertise in career counseling and education pathways, including UG, PG, online, distance, and professional programs.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
Prior experience in education consulting, student support services, or admissions guidance is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Career Guidance, or a related field.
Ability to work on-site in Noida, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain organized documentation.
Comfort using digital tools and CRM systems for tracking student interactions and admissions processes.
Demonstrated integrity, student-centric mindset, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive counselling practices.
