Role Description The PRT English role is a full-time, on-site teaching position located in Gautam Buddha Nagar at Delhi Public School, Sector 122. The role involves planning and delivering engaging English lessons for primary school learners, aligned with the school’s curriculum and academic standards. The teacher will design age-appropriate instructional materials, assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain detailed records of progress.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the classroom, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting language development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and integrating creative activities to build communication skills. The role also includes collaborating with other teachers, participating in school events and staff meetings, communicating regularly with parents and guardians, and contributing to co-curricular initiatives that promote holistic growth.
Qualifications
Strong English Teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment for primary school learners.
Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and families, and for clear oral and written expression.
Ability to use Translation skills where needed to support comprehension and bridge language gaps in a multilingual environment.
Customer Service and interpersonal skills to handle parent inquiries, student concerns, and school community interactions with empathy and professionalism.
Training and facilitation skills to guide students through structured learning activities and to participate in professional development programs.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English, Education, or a related field;
B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification preferred.
Prior experience teaching English at the primary level, ideally in CBSE or similar school settings.
Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based school environment.
