Role Description
MANDATORY:
Experience in Family Practice / Internal Medicine / Wound Care clinics
This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Medical Coder & Biller. The role involves reviewing and analyzing patient medical records to assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services. The Certified Medical Coder & Biller will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain accurate billing records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding practices.

Qualifications
MANDATORY:
Experience in Family Practice / Internal Medicine / Wound Care clinics
Proficiency in Medical Coding, including a strong understanding of coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management practices
Certifications such as RHIT or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in medical coding and billing
Experience in coding within healthcare or clinical environments
Attention to detail, accuracy, and a thorough understanding of insurance and billing processes
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with healthcare professionals
Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software is a plus
