ET AI Academy is being built by The Economic Times as a large-scale, practitioner-driven AI learning ecosystem for developers, technologists, and product leaders.

About the Role
We are hiring a Tech Community Manager & AI Curriculum Owner (SME) to own developer acquisition, curriculum evolution, instructor sourcing, and community-led growth across India.
This is a builder role and requires wearing many hats - strategist, program manager, ecosystem operator responsible for scaling AI education through high-impact communities, partnerships, curriculum ownership and hands-on programs such as hackathons, workshops, and cohort-based learning. The role is responsible for building, scaling, and leading large-scale AI learning cohorts and communities, with a focus on practical, applied Generative AI adoption across professionals, enterprises, and creators.
Work Responsibilities
Community Growth & User Acquisition
- Drive acquisition and engagement of developers, AI practitioners, and professionals into ET AI Academy programs.
- Build, scale and operate high-impact AI and tech communities across Discord, Whats App, events, meetups, and online cohorts
- Stay ahead of emerging AI tools by actively experimenting with them and translating new capabilities into practical use cases for the community.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Building
- Scale hackathons, fellowships, ambassador programs and cohort-based learning initiatives.
- Build strategic partnerships across startups, enterprises, developer ecosystems, and platform providers to deliver joint programs, events, and applied learning experiences.
AI Curriculum & Applied Learning
- Supporting and continuously improve AI curricula, aligned to industry trends and real-world use cases including developing role-based learning tracks for AI Generalists, developers, marketers, founders and operators
- Continuously track emerging AI tools with a strong bias toward hands-on testing and practical, real-world application—not just theoretical understanding.
Skills, Experience & Expertise
- AI-first enthusiast and practitioner, with a strong habit of testing, applying, and refining AI tools in real professional workflows.
- Proven track record of scaling communities or programs to significant scale
- Strong exposure to AI, Generative AI, cloud platforms, and developer tooling and no-code AI tools
- Passionate about making AI practical, accessible, and valuable for real users.
- Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 2+ years of experience in developer communities and ecosystem roles
