We are looking for a proactive Junior IT Support Engineer to support IT operations in a fast-paced semiconductor and engineering environment. This role involves ensuring seamless IT support for end users and engineering teams, maintaining infrastructure, and enabling high-performance computing environments.

We are looking for a proactive Junior IT Support Engineer to support IT operations in a fast-paced semiconductor and engineering environment. This role involves ensuring seamless IT support for end users and engineering teams, maintaining infrastructure, and enabling high-performance computing environments.
Responsibilities
Provide L1/L2 support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Set up and support engineering workstations and required tools
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and high-performance workstations
Troubleshoot Windows/Linux OS, email, VPN, and network connectivity issues
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control (AD/LDAP)
Handle IT asset lifecycle including procurement, tracking, and maintenance
Support installation and maintenance of licensed engineering tools (EDA preferred)
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls)
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards
Coordinate with vendors and manage AMC/support contracts
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
2–5 years of experience in IT support or system administration
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Experience with Active Directory, VPN, and remote support tools
Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zoho, Service Now, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Experience in semiconductor or engineering organizations
Exposure to EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics)
Basic knowledge of servers, storage systems, and virtualization
Certifications such as Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE) or CCNA
