Senior Specialist - Software Testing

Job Description

The Software Application Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications through comprehensive testing practices. This role involves manual and automated testing of web and SharePoint applications, ensuring adherence to quality standards and release readiness through defined quality gating processes. The analyst collaborates with developers, business analysts, product owners, and architects to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

Create test strategies, plans, and test cases based on requirements.
Perform manual testing (functional, regression, integration).
Execute tests and track defects to closure.
Test large web applications, M365 based applications.
Perform cross-browser and responsive testing.
Validate API, backend integrations & data validations.

Automation Testing

Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.
Improve test coverage using automation frameworks.

Quality Assurance & Quality Gating

Define and enforce quality gates for releases.
Validate builds against acceptance criteria and defect thresholds.
Track defects using tools like Jira/Azure Dev Ops.
Provide defect analysis and quality metrics.

Collaboration & Delivery

Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies.
Communicate risks and testing progress.

Required Technical Skills

Testing Expertise

Test Case creation & Manual testing.
Automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
Test frameworks and scripting languages.
Expertise in testing large Web Applications (.Net/React/Angular)
SharePoint/Power Platform testing experience.
REST API testing.

Tools & Platforms

Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Test Rail.
CI/CD pipelines.
SQL knowledge.

Process & Methodologies

SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Quality assurance processes and quality gates.
Exposure to performance/security testing (optional).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
3 – 5 years of experience in software testing (manual + automation).
Experience in enterprise applications preferred.
