IT Discovery Administrator – Lansweeper & CMDB Integration

Location:

Hyderabad, Noida, Gurgaon, Chennai.

Lansweeper Discovery Administration
Administer, configure, and maintain the Lansweeper discovery platform.
Monitor and optimize discovery jobs, scanning schedules, credentials, and discovery configurations.
Identify and resolve discovery failures, coverage gaps, and data collection issues.
Analyze discovery performance and recommend improvements to increase asset visibility and accuracy.
Support onboarding of new discovery sources, network segments, and environments.
Data Quality, Validation & Remediation
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and remediation activities to improve discovery coverage and asset data quality.
Investigate discrepancies between discovered assets and CMDB records.
Develop and execute processes for identifying duplicate, stale, or incomplete configuration items (CIs).
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve data quality issues and improve data governance.
Produce regular reporting and metrics related to discovery coverage, compliance, and data accuracy.

CMDB & Integration Management
Support integration of Lansweeper discovery data with Service Now CMDB.
Monitor and troubleshoot data synchronization processes between discovery sources and CMDB platforms.
Ensure configuration data is properly mapped, transformed, and reconciled within Service Now.
Work with stakeholders to maintain CMDB health and alignment with ITIL best practices.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities related to discovery and CMDB services.
Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
Identify automation opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance discovery and CMDB operations.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support platform upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience administering and supporting the  Lansweeper Discovery Tool  in an enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of IT asset discovery, inventory management, and configuration management concepts.
Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and remediation activities to improve discovery coverage and data quality.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, Active Directory, IP addressing, and discovery protocols.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Secondary Knowledge /

Preferred Experience

Working experience with  Service Now CMDB , including CI management, reconciliation, and data quality processes.

Experience with  Syncfish  or similar third-party integration tools used for synchronizing discovery data between Lansweeper and Service Now CMDB.
Familiarity with Service Now Discovery, Service Mapping, Asset Management, or Configuration Management processes.
Understanding of ITIL framework and CMDB governance best practices.

Experience with reporting, dashboards, and data analysis for discovery and asset management operations.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure environments (Windows, Linux, cloud, and network devices).

Experience with APIs, integrations, and data transformation concepts.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global teams.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence and data quality.
