Merchandisers are responsible for maximizing sales by ensuring products are properly stocked, displayed, and priced in retail or wholesale environments. Key duties include managing inventory levels, setting up visual displays based on planograms, analyzing sales data, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing promotional campaigns to increase product visibility.

Creating appealing, organized product displays and setting up promotional layouts to capture consumer attention.
Inventory Management:
Monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, ensuring proper product rotation (FIFO), and conducting inventory audits.
Sales Analysis:
Reviewing sales data to identify trends, popular items, and profit opportunities to make informed decisions.
Supplier/Vendor
Collaboration:
Coordinating with suppliers for orders, negotiating pricing, and managing product deliveries.
Planogram Execution:
Implementing retail layouts (planograms) and maintaining brand signage to meet company standards.
Market Awareness:

Specialized Merchandiser Responsibilities Retail/Store Merchandiser:
Focuses heavily on shelf stocking, store appearance, and customer service.
Garment/Apparel Merchandiser:

Buyer/Planner:
