Airport Operations- SME

We are seeking an experienced  Airport Domain SME  to provide functional, operational, and process expertise across airport operations. The SME will work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams to support solution design, requirement definition, transformation programs, and stakeholder workshops for airport‑focused digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Domain Expertise
Provide subject matter expertise across  airport operations , including:
Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC)
Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A‑CDM)
Flight operations & movement control
Ground handling operations
Resource Management Systems (RMS) – gates, stands, counters
Passenger services & terminal operations
Baggage handling systems (BHS) and reconciliation
Solutioning & Consulting
Translate business processes into solution requirements and user stories.
Work with engineering/architect teams to define product capabilities and process flows.
Conduct gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and optimize airport operational processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with airport authorities, operational managers, ground handlers, and other ecosystem partners.
Run workshops, demos, training, and UAT support for operational teams.
Delivery Collaboration
Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to ensure domain alignment across delivery stages.
Support test teams in validating functional scenarios and operational use cases.
Required Skills & Experience
10–15+ years  of experience in airport operations or airport IT systems.
Deep functional knowledge of:
AODB (Airport Operational Database)
RMS
FIDS
BHS
A-CDM frameworks
Experience working with airport operators, ground handlers, or aviation software companies.
Strong understanding of operational KPIs such as OTP, turnaround time, capacity planning, SLA monitoring.
