PRN - Sunday through Saturday 8am to 5pm

What You’ll Do:
  • Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
  • Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve patient’s function.
  • Administer diagnostic speech and language evaluations and some basic, informal audio logical assessment in accordance with the plan of care.
  • Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated.
  • Prepare a report of each client’s diagnostic evaluation and make recommendations.
  • Advise, consult and teach appropriate procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and other agency staff.
  • Provide direct speech service to clients under a provider’s plan of care. Records and reports to the provider the client’s response to therapy.
Qualifications:
  • Possess certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Licensed as a speech therapist in the state in which practicing.
  • At least one (1) year of acute care setting or equivalent experience.
  • Possess knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy.
  • Complies and maintains current CPR certification.
  • Ability to make home visits and provide nursing care in the home environment.
  • Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.
