We are looking for an Antenna Measurement Engineer to support the Lab (E3) to join our Akkodis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands.

Your role :  This position involves a wide variety of tasks requiring both physical and analytical skills. Like working at heights to mount test objects, operate cranes with heavy loads. Or handle sensitive, miniature, high-frequency components under cleanroom conditions. Further the role demands:
Careful planning and execution of antenna measurements across very diverse setups and scenarios.
Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate factors that could affect measurement accuracy.
Working with multiple software tools, communication protocols, and complex instrumentation.
Organise tasks such to manage priorities, timelines, and resources effectively.
Specific tasks to be performed:
Support Antenna Test campaigns within the ESTEC Antenna Laboratory, including test definition and preparation, test execution and delivery of data/test report to the customer.
Perform and support testing activities in Spherical, Planar, Cylindrical Near Field, Compact Range and Material RF Characterisation facilities, including test plans, test setup preparation, operation of the test ranges, post process and analysis of test results.
Support in activities aiming at enabling the Antenna Laboratory to expand its testing capabilities in view of future ESA space missions.
Support to activities for keeping the Antenna Laboratory operational, such as maintenance, repair, Calibration, audits, administration and implementation of new functionality.
To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background / experience is required:
A Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant Engineering discipline combined with significant experience in antenna testing.
Strong Capability and passion for performing activities related to all aspects of radiative testing.
Good working knowledge of Near and Far field antenna testing methods.
Good working knowledge on propagation of EM waves;
Good working knowledge on measurement uncertainties to quantify antenna parameters;
General background in antenna technologies.
Knowledge and understanding of stable mechanical support structures.

Experience with handling of space hardware and clean room conditions is considered an asset;
Familiarity in cryogenic test setups and the associated best practices is considered an asset. Otherwise, willingness to learn how to set up and run thermal vacuum tests.
Comfortable with physically demanding tasks when required
Ready to get your hands dirty and to work in hard to reach places at considerable heights.
