Description
The Space Safety Missions Office of the Space Safety Programme is advancing its Active Debris Removal (ADR) and In‑Orbit Servicing (IOS) capabilities. The ADRIOS Servicing Performance Manager will contribute to pioneering space sustainability technologies, ensuring the reliability and performance of services delivered by ADRIOS missions such as RISE.
Duties
Maintain the service, mission, and system‑level requirements.
Allocate, flow‑down, verify, and evolve requirements and their associated margins.
Analyze compliance with industry‑led performance requirements and propose corrective actions.
Support the Project Manager and System Technical Lead with trade‑offs, design and interface reviews, industry development monitoring, verification/validation, and acceptance methods.
Focus on rendezvous and proximity operations, including GNC, the robotic capture system, simulators and testing facilities.
Interact with industry to understand future service vision and performance needs.
Interface with potential clients as necessary.
Lead development and competitiveness activities for future services.
Understand industry needs concerning time to market and recurring service price, ensuring they are reflected in the technical approach.
Support risk identification and mitigation, schedule and cost control, and non‑conformance and change management.
Participate in reviews and share knowledge with industry.
Capture and disseminate lessons learned within the division and with the Cleanspace and Circular Economy Office.
Technical Competencies
More than 10 years of hands‑on experience in system engineering/spacecraft Phase B2/C/D/E.
Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering disciplines.
Requirements management and verification using various methodologies.
Technical management and monitoring of industrial activities, including participation in reviews.
Risk management of complex projects.
Schedule and price control under stringent conditions.
Knowledge of ESA and industrial procurement processes and standards for space systems development, verification and procurement.

Education
A master’s degree in engineering or a related field is required, together with 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Additional Requirements
Experience implementing missions with tight schedules and low price constraints.
