Database Engineer

Job Summary

The Database Engineer leads enterprise-level development and optimization of secure database systems. This position architects complex SQL solutions, enforces development standards, and ensures performance and security compliance for mission‑critical systems. Additional expectations include adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies, communicating with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on assigned tasks, and completing other assigned tasks.

Hybrid position in Norco, CA.

• Lead schema and stored procedure architecture across systems
• Optimize high-volume queries and support large data migrations
• Implement data governance and secure development practices
• Guide development teams on best practices and reviews
• Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT for database security

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of database development experience
• Advanced knowledge of SQL performance tuning and secure design
• Ability to travel to Norco, CA location 2-3 days per week
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret Clearance

• Master’s degree or advanced database certifications
• Experience with cloud‑native database environments (e.g., RDS, Azure SQL)
