Technical Accounting Manager Role Summary

Accountants One is hired by a major client to support a significant expansion. The company, a global organization approaching $2 billion in revenue, offers visibility to senior management and opportunities to influence M&A, process automation, improvement, and technology implementation. The role will include project/ad‑hoc work in addition to traditional duties and will support IPO readiness.

• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements related to the consolidation and financial reporting cycle.
• Work on multiple time‑sensitive financial projects simultaneously.
• Assist with external reporting financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
• Assist with the monthly reporting package and ad‑hoc reporting and project updates.
• Recognize, research, and resolve reporting and general accounting issues.
• Analyze and document technical accounting conclusions for significant contracts, providing operational guidance to the GL accounting team to ensure proper revenue and cost recognition.
• Assess the impact of and assist with the implementation of new reporting governance standards.
• Conduct complex transaction analysis to support business operations in understanding financial impact.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors on requested information.
• Write, implement, and ensure effective and practical implementation of accounting policies.
• Proactively stay abreast of technical accounting and reporting matters and address potential impacts on the company.
• Lead meetings with finance management and other business leaders to address technical accounting topics and finance projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA license.
• 5+ years of corporate accounting, external financial reporting, financial controls, or auditing experience.
• 2+ years of public accounting, preferably Big 4 experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
• Ability to react to changes quickly and manage multiple projects under high‑pressure conditions.
• Strong organizational skills for coordinating and managing work processes and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships; adept at preparing technical accounting memorandums and articulating accounting concepts clearly.
