PositionSummary
The Senior Technician position requires strong expertise in diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, combined with leadership and mentoring skills to guide a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Pay range: $19.00–$31.10 per hour. Our flat‑rate compensation model rewards each completed task with a predetermined amount.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, A/C, and computer systems to specifications.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals.
- Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of categories A1–A8 within the first two years of employment (company covers test fees; bonuses for each test passed).
- Valid automobile driver’s license at all times and ability to drive company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics and/or steering, suspension, and alignment systems.
- Skill in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- Three or more years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated via third‑party assessments or completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
- ASE certification in at least one of the A1–A8 categories (L1 certification acceptable).
