Supply Chain / Intl. Trade, Operations Manager
Overview
Manages all warehouse/receiving operations as well as team of Material Handlers at Norcross site. Performs Materials Management functions for all warehouse facilities across Norcross campus. Oversees and manages all daily inbound receipts, outbound order fulfillment, maintenance of data in ERP solution, cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and routing product to the appropriate storage areas or departments. Troubleshoots issues with orders, receipts, and works directly with Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing, Shipping, and Quality Assurance Departments to resolve.
Manages department budget to meet targets.
- Oversee all warehouse operations including optimizing warehouse operations, layout, and implementing KPIs.
- Manage a team of Material Handlers including hiring, training, performance appraisals, processing time cards, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations (e.g., handling of hazardous chemicals, blood borne pathogens, forklift safety).
- Ensure timely transactions of all inbound and outbound movements according to applicable policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate data and inventory transactions in the ERP solution and product disposition (expired, damaged, return to sender, etc.).
- Monitor inventory levels and implement solutions for effective inventory control. Execute cycle counts in accordance with internal procedures and ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal/external auditing.
- Participate in internal and external audits; maintain clean, organized, and safe environment consistent with cGDP policies and upholding standards compliant with FDA and ISO regulations.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure product (WIP & FG), raw materials, and/or supplies are prepared, transported, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Purchasing/Procurement and AP to resolve issues with inbound receipts; participate in 3-way match processes ensuring timely receipts and processing of supplier invoices.
- Oversee stocking of departmental supplies and manage the overall budget for warehouse and receiving operations.
- Maintain upkeep preventative maintenance of company-owned assets (coolers, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) to ensure operational performance and reduce downtime. Issue Work Orders for in-house requests as needed.
- Generate, revise, and maintain departmental SOPs, work instructions, etc.
- Escalate non-compliances, product non-conformities, unsafe work conditions, etc. to appropriate personnel; participate in triages to identify root causes and implement appropriate CAPAs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of products, services, procedures, policies, systems, and company organization as it relates to job requirements.
- Maintain documentation for all inbound receipts and outbound shipments in accordance with internal documentation retention policy.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
All Suppliers, Transportation Service Providers, key process-related stakeholders, Executive Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Distribution, Finance, Purchasing/Procurement, Logistics and Plant Operations/Manufacturing.
QualificationsMinimum Knowledge & Experience- Associate’s Degree or equivalent certifications.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, and/or inventory control.
- Minimum of 3+ years leadership and warehouse management experience.
- Certification from Association For Supply Chain Management (ASCM) or other similar certification preferred.
- Current/prior forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience working with products controlled by shelf life.
- Experience with using ERP systems for warehouse management, inventory management, purchasing, etc.; preferably SAP.
Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.
