We are seeking a Materials Scientist/Engineer to support our Norcross, GA facility. This entry‑level position provides the opportunity to grow into a Lead Materials Development Engineer within 5‑10 years.

• Work in a materials and quality laboratory adjacent to the production floor
• Perform optical fiber testing to characterize physical, mechanical, and optical properties
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop new UV curable materials and processes for optical fiber applications
• Draft reports, create PowerPoint presentations, and present results in team meetings
• Work effectively within a team environment
• Handle high‑pressure work and manage challenging deadlines

• B.S. in Materials Science, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience with materials testing in a laboratory setting
• Preferred coursework or experience in Polymer Science, Materials Characterization, or Polymer Rheology

• Experience with materials characterization techniques, preferably tensile and fatigue testing
• Enjoys hands‑on work
• Ability to multitask and adjust priorities based on business needs
• Proficiency with basic computer functions (Office, web)
• Excellent communication, time‑management, and documentation skills
