Industry: Heavy Civil / Infrastructure Construction

We are seeking an experienced Controller with construction accounting experience to manage and oversee the financial operations of our growing construction company. This role requires a strong understanding of job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and construction financial controls
.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports
• Manage job cost accounting
  , over/under billings, and cost-to-complete
• Maintain the General Ledger
  , journal entries, and month-end close
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Produce monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Work closely with Project Managers on project financial performance
• Oversee AP/AR, progress billings, and retainage
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and lender reporting

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction accounting experience (required)
• Strong knowledge of WIP, job costing, and revenue recognition
• Experience with construction accounting software
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA (preferred, not required)
• Heavy civil, roadway, or utility construction experience
• Experience working with bonding companies and lenders

Construction accounting experience is required.

This position is in-office and not remote.
